About the Project<\/h2>\n \n

Since 2020, \u00c2me & Conscience has been organizing A\u00efd al-Adha Qurbanis in Kenya \u2014 and this is no random choice. We know the land, the farmers, the scholars, and the religious framework. This is where our commitment took root.<\/span><\/p>\n

We realized that in the West, many believers face obstacles in performing this sacred ritual in the way they truly wish. So, we created a simple, Sunnah-based solution \u2014 one that ensures clarity, trust, and peace of mind.<\/span><\/p>\n

By doing your Qurbani in Kenya, you will benefit local families who will receive your meat and celebrate their e\u00efd with dignity, whilst following the noble Sunnah of our beloved Prophet \ufdfa.<\/span><\/p>\n

Why do we perform Qurbani as Muslims?<\/h2>\n \n
\n

The Prophet Ibr\u0101h\u012bm (peace be upon him), a devoted father, was commanded in a dream to sacrifice his beloved son. With unwavering faith, he obeyed the command of his Lord. When narrating the dream to his son, Ism\u0101\u02bf\u012bl replied:<\/span>
\n<\/span> “O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, among the patients.”<\/b>
\n<\/b>Just as the sacrifice was about to take place, Allah, the Most Merciful, replaced Ism\u0101\u02bf\u012bl with a ram \u2014 showing Ibrahim that the true test was about submitting himself to his Lord.<\/span><\/p>\n

Performing the Qurbani is considered by some scholars (mainly Hanafis), to be an obligatory act (<\/span>w\u0101jib).<\/span><\/i> For other scholars, like the Malikis, it is viewed as an emphasized Sunnah.<\/span><\/p>\n

Yes. If the person is your spouse or dependent family member living in your household, they can share in the reward. Otherwise, you\u2019ll need to offer a separate Qurbani. You may check with your local scholar for more madhab-specific information on the subject if needed. <\/span><\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

When is the sacrifice done?<\/h3>\n <\/div>\n \n

E\u00efd lasts three days, and we perform Qurbanis during these days.<\/span><\/p>\n

Qurbanis will take place on June 6th, 7th, or 8th.<\/p>\n

If you will be in a country where Eid al-Adha is observed on June 7th, or in a different time zone (e.g. Canada, the Caribbean\u2026), please inform us of your country of residence as soon as possible, in writing\u00a0at: info@ameconscience.org<\/a><\/p>\n

This allows us to comply with the fiqh ruling<\/strong>: the sacrifice must be performed only after the Eid prayer<\/strong> has taken place in your region.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n
